Teacher Training / CEU FAQ's
Do I need to want to teach yoga to attend teacher training?
Not at all. Some people join because they dream of teaching. Others join because they want to understand themselves more deeply, reconnect with their practice, or simply spend time learning something they love. Yoga teacher training is as much a personal journey as it is a professional one.
Am I experienced enough for teacher training?
Probably more than you think. We welcome students from many different backgrounds and experience levels. You don't need to be able to do advanced poses or have years of practice behind you. Curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to learn will take you much further than flexibility ever will.
What makes your teacher training different?
We care about more than learning postures and memorizing information. Our training is designed to help you understand yoga as a practice for living. You'll explore philosophy, meditation, anatomy, leadership, self-awareness, and teaching skills while being supported by a community that wants to see you grow. The goal isn't to create teachers who all sound the same, it's to help you discover your own authentic voice.
What if I'm nervous about teaching in front of people?
Most people are. In fact, many of our strongest graduates started training convinced they could never teach. We don't throw you into the deep end on day one. You'll have plenty of opportunities to practice, receive feedback, and build confidence step by step. By the end of the program, you'll be amazed at how much you've grown.
How much time should I expect to spend outside of training hours?
There will be reading, practice teaching, self-reflection, and personal practice between weekends. The exact amount varies from person to person, but most students find that the more they engage with the material between sessions, the more meaningful the experience becomes.
Can teacher training help me grow personally even if I never teach?
Absolutely. Some of our graduates never teach a single class, and they still describe teacher training as one of the most impactful experiences of their lives. The tools you learn, awareness, mindfulness, communication, resilience, and self-inquiry, show up far beyond the yoga mat.
What kind of support do students receive during training?
You won't be doing this alone. Our faculty is here to guide, mentor, challenge, and encourage you throughout the process. You'll receive feedback, coaching, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions, practice, and refine your skills. Just as importantly, you'll be surrounded by a community of people walking the same path.
What opportunities exist after graduation?
Graduation is really just the beginning. Some students go on to teach in studios, gyms, schools, or private settings. Others continue their education through advanced trainings and specialty programs. Many simply carry what they've learned into their careers, relationships, and everyday lives. Yoga teacher training doesn't just prepare you to teach yoga, it helps you learn how to live it.
